Summary

Directive for Mac and iOS respects your privacy. The app does not collect, store, or share any of your personal information, unless you explicitly opt in. All of your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable Directive Pro, your data is stored on our servers in encrypted form.

We will never sell your personal data.

Your email address will not be used for any marketing communications, unless you explicitly opt-in to our monthly newsletter.

Your personal data is never shared with any third parties, except service providers who are are only authorized to use your data to perform services you explicitly request. For example, if you ask to subscribe to our mailing list, we add your email to our email software service, MailChimp. MailChimp only has access to your email address insofar as they need it to send emails to you on our behalf. They are forbidden from using it for any other purpose.

Directive has no ads, and no information is shared with advertisers.

Directive Pro Subscription Terms

Directive Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours prior end of the subscription. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. You may cancel or disable your subscription by going to your App Store Account Settings after purchase.

Directive Cloud Privacy Policy

Directive Cloud is an optional Service as a part of Directive Pro for iOS. It is not necessary to create or sign into a cloud account to access other Pro features. This Service is provided by LittleFin LLC.

This page is used to inform visitors regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use our Service.

If you choose to use our Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for only for syncing and sharing your data for your personal use. We do not not access, use or share your information with third parties, except as outlined below for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to information about your bills. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device’s internal memory.

This Service does not use these “cookies” explicitly. However, the app may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services. Children’s Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. However, no changes to the Privacy Policy shall be made that would allow us to share your personal data with third parties, except as outlined above in the Service Providers section.

Website Privacy Policy

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
